Thursday was super weird!!! I think it was from the omelette I made after school. I took a short nap and woke up around 7pm or so?? I had a mild stomachache so I went to the toilet but nothing passed out of my system. Then suddenly my stomachache intensified and I started feeling lightheaded and I felt really hot and sweaty out of nowhere and I thought to myself, fuck I should go lay down or something. The next thing I knew I woke up on the bathroom floor. Parts of my body hurt (I'm guessing from the fall??) and I was super confused and I quickly got up and sat back on the toilet and at that point I noticed that the toilet had been flushed but I don't think I remember flushing it.

But yeah everything is fine and dandy again and I don't think I'm gonna eat another omelette for a long time!!!! Also my right foot has a bunch of darkish bruises on it going from the top of my inner foot right by my big toe down to about halfway on the foot and I think it was from the incident because my foot kept hurting the rest of the night. And also the next morning while tying my hair I noticed the right side of my head kinda hurt (I think it's bruised?? I feel no bump tho which is good) and it hurts when I chew only on the right side of my mouth (I felt my head while I chewed on both sides tho and when I chew on my right, I guess there's muscles and stuff there and my head moves when I chew there) so ya life is great right now huh

......anyway.............

For once in my (very short) university life I'm actually (***kinda***) caught up with my classes!!!!! This is huge as heck for me because my entire first year was me leaving everything until the last minute and sucking in school and making terrible choices and getting bad grades and kicking myself for not getting off my ass to study. I mean I'm still not exactly on top of everything *looks at chem 233* but I'm better than I was last year so yay!!! I really hope that my grades this term reflect this!!

On other news I'm still pretty bummed that I did not attend either one of Beach House's concerts considering how much I fucking love them. But then again school and everything has been taking over my life so thinking about it I probably made a better choice for the sake of school...... but I'm still sad. But next time they come I will go!!! (hopefully)

iphone n plant life

So the other day I finally decided to update to iOS 8 and wow I almost cried bc I was downloading it through itunes and when it was basically done itunes froze and my phone got put into recovery mode!!!! I panicked bc I was an idiot and didn't manually back up my phone before I downloaded the new iOS but I knew I backed it up a while ago but a while ago wasn't good enough for me!!! So yeah I proceeded to restore my phone to factory settings and tHANK U BASED GOD cause it backed itself up before I downloaded it. But yeah iOS 8 is pretty cute (except that suggested word thing on top of the keyboard now........ no bitch I will type my own words ty very much!!! thank goodness u can close that thing tho). Also all of my songs got deleted but I don't even care because I have them all on my computer anyway and I just have to put them back on my phone. It was just my 8000 pics that I cared about tbh!!! Yes I'm one of those ppl who take pics of everything and never delete anything. And yes a lot of them are selfies........ but w/e I do what I want. Also I should probably delete some pics bc they take up a lot of space......

ANYWAY I got a couple more lil bday gifts, my friend got me a cactus and succulent and they're super cute!!!

I also got a set of super hydrating hand cream (thank goodness bc cashier life is very tough on the hands) and a leather scrunchie from AA!!! Yay I already have a denim scrunchie (tho I don't wear it much since I rarely leave the house w my hair already tied) but I will hopefully put this one into use!!!! I feel like scrunchies are one of those things (for me at least) where I think they're so cute and I would totally collect them but barely ever wear them. *shrug emoticon*

Idk what else to say!!! I'm supposed to be typing out my astronomy lab report right now and also work on my creative writing assignment (it's due in less than 2 weeks n I'm gonna use my gr 12 short story fuck it) so yeah I should probably get back to that so pceeeee

im 19 what the heck!!!!!

Yesterday it was ya girl Jasmine's bday!!!!! ✩*⋆¸¸.•*¨* (੭ ᐡ ᵕ ᐡ)੭ ♡ ˚ *¨*•.¸¸⋆*✩ I'm 19 and goddamn I feel old. I didn't do anything extravagant for my bday (mostly bc I have no friends j k and also no id cause I'm lazy as heck and have no drivers license or BC ID). Oh and I was totally not gonna show my damn passport..... SO YEAH. It was kinda a last min thing but I went out for lunch (if you can even consider this lunch....) with Madz and we went shopping and stuff downtown.

We went to the Nero Belgian Waffle Bar and we got the Biscuit and Heaven with brussels waffles.

We also went to UO and I took pics at the photo booth there for the first time ever!!

Totally did not expect that they'd have a video of us in the booth provided for us afterwards.... esp that totally I guess you can say candid last one where we didn't know what pose to do and we threw up peace signs and started laughing.

I bought the pink photo album pictured below which says 'it's 'bout to get nostalgic up in here'. I saw it online and thought it was cute but I didn't think I'd find it in the store! And also Madz said it looks like the Burn Book from Mean Girls.... hahaha. Anyway Madz got me that cute mug with cats all around it (there's more on the other side of the cup believe it or not!!!) and that fake succulent. So now I can keep a cute lil succulent in my room because I honestly cannot keep live plants in my room hahaha.

I put all the photos that I developed in January in here too!! The photos were just sitting in their envelopes for months and months and now they finally have a home in this cute lil book. I haven't written any memos yet but I'll get around to that soon. I filled up the entire album and guess what??? The number of slots for photos in the album was the exact number I needed for all the photos!!!! I swear it was meant to be

And here's a notebook I got from Chapters recently!!! I guess I just need that lil reminder on the cover.

Oh and then for dinner I went out with my family to some Chinese restaurant in Richmond. We had lobster and Peking duck pancakes (literally one of my fave dishes eVER!!!!!!!) and a bunch of other small stuff.

That's all for now! I'm glad I'm finally up to date with this blog bc I've spent way too long thinking about having to catch up on this and being totally too lazy to do so.

Wow I haven't posted in 4ever I'm gonna throw everything into one huge mass post of shit that happened and stuff I did okay here goes

On july 26 it was my friend Kim's debut!!! I was one of the 18 candles which was pretty cool. This was my first time ever attending a debut and it was lots of fun! First there was a church service, then we went to QE park for pics, and finally the reception. Kinda like a wedding (actually so many ppl at the park asked if it was a wedding w/ a look of concern on their faces bc we look like lil girls but yeah lol one guy was like "oh I was wondering why there were like 20 bridesmaids") but anyway here are some pics:

At first I wasn't going to do a speech bc I'm such a pussy (l o l like the cat ears im wearing in the last pic!!!!! haha im not very funny am I) and I can't talk in front of ppl like at all but in the end (like literally last minute) I ended up doing one which I'm so glad I did!!! Overall the debut was loads of fun and I actually wanna attend another one hehe. Although I wasn't even part of the whole planning/organizing process of the debut (s/o to Kim and Madz for that tho!!! it must've been a lot of work and they did an amazing job), I miss it and I wish I could relive that day again. Now here are some selfies from that day!!!! Then a few days later I learned to longboard!!! Well I'm still pretty unconfident riding it but I can def go in one direction and kinda go side to side. I can't exactly turn very well lol I'm too scared to put too much of my weight on one side of the board but yeah. I'm a fast learner though!! I'm thinking about buying/building a skateboard soon. Idk what my set up will be but my deck will def be 5Boro!!! I'm thinking about the Jimmy McDonald Philadelphia City Hall one or one from the new VHS series

I recently went boarding again though and I mostly worked on pushing off and I think I really improved!!! During my first boarding sesh I was scared to push off too hard because I felt like I would lose my balance but I have more of a hang of it now and I kind of figured out how to properly do it and also put it into practice. The weather has been going from shitty to nice to shitty to nice (ty bipolar weather of vancouver) so I don't know if I'll get more practice during the school year but next summer or maybe even after winter if the weather is okay I might actually assemble a skateboard and freaking skate

We went to a cute little spot called La Petite Cuillère. They offer a slightly cheaper price for afternoon tea than most places (I believe a couple dollars cheaper?? compared to places like Adonia and Secret Garden Tea). I didn't take a photo of the interior of the restaurant but it was really cute! They had a lot of adorable floral prints, little plants, and old collectible (probably vintage) figurines and statues. They had a cabinet of teacups (behind the group pic) which was really pretty! It was really quiet and empty when we were there (then again it was a monday afternoon....) but I liked it because we were there for hours just talking and catching up and there was no rush and the waitress was really friendly and peppy and sweet.

I made a cute lil necklace!!! I ordered the stone and necklace cords separately from eBay and put them together myself. So so so much cheaper than buying an overpriced one for like $15. The stone itself was I believe $2-$3? And the pack of 10 necklace cords was a couple dollars as well. And both had free shipping! I also have another necklace with a white stone and some grey marks on it.

Shopping with my friend Irene! I think Aug 20?? We were hanging out before she left to go back to school in Montreal at the end of August! Afterwards we went boarding with her bf (which was the 2nd time that I went boarding that I think I mentioned earlier).

The next day I went shopping in Seattle, just at the Premium Outlets though. I wish I had time to go downtown but I didn't! I ended up getting a new pair of white low-top converse and a pair of black and white Vans sk8-hi's.

Aug 26 I hung out with my friend Jenny who I met at UBC! We ate at Cafe Medina. It was super super busy there and we ended up having to wait 45 min for a table but it wasn't too bad since we walked around for a bit during the wait. It was my first time eating here and it was so good!

I got the Saumon Fumé which was delicious. I usually never go to breakfast/brunch places so this was like my first time. Now I wanna try other places like Catch 122 which has been ALLLL over instagram lately! Then we went shopping (here's a H&M changing room selfie because the lighting is divine)

The next day I gave my friend Madalene a lil tour around UBC and showed her where her classes were (she transferred here yay!!!!). It was super tiring because of all the walking though. We went to the bookstore to get her student card and we saw some weird but cute plushies of things like sperm (pictured below hahaha)

There was also an egg. And things like thyroid gland, brain cell, and herpes plushies. And they were surprisingly cute hahah they also came in keychain form! Because I would totally hang an HIV plushie with my keys.......

Afterwards we bussed to Oakridge and ate at White Spot. I honestly hadn't eaten there since I was a kid!! I have this one memory of burning my mouth on a freshly cooked breaded zucchini which was so not fun. Here's a cute pic of the sunset as we were coming out of the mall.

The day after that Madz and I went to the first day of the Aritzia Warehouse Sale at the Vancouver Convention Centre!!!

These pics were taken while waiting in line at around 6am, since the doors opened at 7. These pics don't do the actual sky justice!!! The yellowy part of the photo looked so magical in person, it was like the whole area over there was illuminated in yellow and just that area. Anyway, the sale wasn't that great. I ended up buying 4 items - a plain black tee, a plain black tank, a black Wilfred silk t-shirt, and a black Wilfred dress with soft leather/pleather on the top part (wow you see a theme going on here???). Here's the dress though:

I was just really excited about the dress in particular. I'd been eyeing that dress for what felt like forever (literally since it came out) however I was hesitant to buy it because of the price ($145 I believe???). When I saw it at the sale I just about died. I saw it in size xs on the rack so I grabbed it but I was scared it'd be too small because it looked tiny. Then when I went into the communal changing area I saw the dress hanging here with the tag out that I could see said size s and a girl standing next to it. I asked if it was hers and she said no so I snatched it!! Honestly even if it was hers I was planning on grabbing it when she wasn't looking anyway... ANYWAY size s fit PERFECTLY and I was so so happy because I got the dress for $49.99!!!

Then I worked and worked and worked until school started on Sept 2. Actually I worked that day too. But I didn't have class cause it's UBC's Imagine Day, where it's this huge thing with booths and free things everywhere and first years and transfer students get a tour and a huge pep rally and stuff like that. Actually basically all the days between the days I blogged about above I was working hahaha.

This term I'm taking astronomy 101, chem 233, linguistics 100, and creative writing 200. I'm not gonna lie, astronomy is so exciting imo and I'm actually happy to go to class. We have an optional field trip thing to the planetarium in mid-October and I'm actually going to go (and I'm dragging Madz with me too because they said you can bring a friend!!!!).

I spotted this beauty of a coat at Topshop and I ended up getting it several days later:

It's $150 which was a bit painful for me but oh well, I've been looking for a coat like this. The only downside is that the one I got is a size 2 and even though it's meant to be oversized it seems a bit TOO big. I asked if they have a size 0 (and a super super friendly and helpful sales associate named Kevin I believe helped me out!!) but sadly they didn't. So I ended up buying this one for now and I left them my info so that if another shipment ever comes in, they'd let me know and put a 0 on hold for me. I mean honestly a 2 isn't thaaaat bad but I would prefer the 0 because it would just look and fit a lot better.

OK I was trying to take an ootd pic with my foot up and then a girl walked into the washroom and saw me and I panicked omg but yeah. I'm wearing the aa reversible sweater thing, talula jeans, topshop boots and aa denim backpack here, while carrying my aa tote thing full of more clothes to sell to people afterschool.

Then YESTERDAY IT WAS MY BDAY but I'll do a separate post for that. I think this is enough for now!!
