"i feel small; but so are stars from a distance"

Here are some purchases I made this week (✿◠‿◠) clockwise:
  1. white Talula (Aritzia) shorts- I bought these off of a girl on one of those local Facebook closet groups where you sell and buy new or lightly worn clothes etc. These were brand new with tags and they retail for $45 but I got them for $25! I thought they'd be super cute and comfy for the summer.
  2. pink Hello Kitty phone case- another purchase from the closet group! I'm guessing you can get these from the night market for ~$10 but I got this for $5 and it's so adorable! I love the shade of pink too, it's like a really nice light pink that isn't too... purply??? idk how to describe it but yeah
  3. fuzzy socks- I bought these from the Korean gift/stationary store at Crystal Mall called Everyday. I used to visit that store all the time a few years ago and the owners, these two middle aged Koreans who I believe are married, are so friendly! I'm sad that they probably don't recognize me anymore but recently I have regained my love for cute stationary so I will probably be back there more hehe
  4. purple and blue pens- I bought them also from Everyday. I have it in pink and black as well and they're probably my favourite pens at the moment. My old faves used to be these skinny Korean pens that I believe are called "Slimmer" (that's what it said on the pens themselves) and I used them for years and I could only find them at Everyday but unfortunately they stopped restocking on them and upon asking the owners, I was told that the pens were no longer made. :((( I loved how skinny the lines were when you write/draw with them. Fortunately, I stumbled upon these which aren't as thin but I'm satisfied with them
This was kind of a lame post but I feel like I need to post more so yeah. Does anyone even read this blog??? Whatever bye!! ✧ * 。 ⋆

Yesterday I went for a quick shopping trip with my friend to pick up some stuff I bought from one of those closet Facebook groups where you buy and sell clothes and etc. I bought a pink Hello Kitty case for $5 and a pair of white Talula shorts for $25 (new with tags, originally $45) so yay. I would post pics but it's nighttime and the lighting is not cute. So that'll have to wait for tomorrow! But for now here's yesterday's ootd

shopping, shoes, dr

So yesterday my friend and I went shopping and we were originally planning to go to see Grand Budapest Hotel but after both of us purchased a pair of super cute sandals from Zara and being the poor students that we are, we decided that we could settle for watching the film at home online instead. Here's a pic of me wearing the sandals bbs and after i'll post my ootd

idk a plain black tank top, garage denim shirt, h&m cardigan, j brand jeans, a wang rockie bag, vans shoes

And idk here's a selfie I took in the car heading out (✿◠‿◠)

Yeah so went to Zara and we normally only go in there because it's near the entrance we often go through and they conveniently have a large mirror that's usually not very crowded so we look at our outfits in the mirror lol. But we decided to look around the store since our friend's debut is in the summer and we decided to start looking for dresses, and then we came across a pair of adorable black platform sandals!!!

So we tried them on and we couldn't say no to them. They were $60 which I think is a pretty good price considering I've been eyeing a pair from Topshop that are like $120. I find that they're a bit awkward to walk in but I can't wait to wear these especially in the summer!!!

Oh and we went to the pet store and there were these two kittens that were sooo cute!! They were lying there together and their faces were pressed against each other and one of them put its paw on the other and ugh they were just so adorable.

We also saw this hahaha

We also went to Crystal Mall after which is basically like this Asian mall like a block away and we bought some cute fuzzy socks and I bought some pens bc I like these cute Korean ones hehe

Today I went to my doctor because lately I've been feeling really bloated and horrible and also I feel like I've been losing a lot of hair. But recently (it started last week) I've been feeling really bloated during the day and my stomach keeps making this gurgling sound and yea this is nasty but my shit has been weird so I booked an appointment to see my doctor (I feel like I see her very often sigh). But prior to the appointment I had a feeling that it had to do with lactose intolerance or something like that because (ok yes I'm fat) I've been eating ice cream everyday and yeah. And then the one day I didn't eat ice cream I didn't bloat and I felt normal. So my doctor told me that there's a possibility that I'm lactose intolerant considering Asians are more susceptible to lactose intolerance and I'm at the age where it usually starts to occur. I don't know. But as for my hair, for the past few months I've been losing a lot of hair while washing my hair and blowdrying it and idk if it's bc of stress from school etc but she told me to get a blood test done first to check my thyroid levels or something like that. And that's about it. I feel like there's always something wrong with me. Not chronic things, but short-term sicknesses and malfunctions if that's even the right word.

And yeah I should probably do my lab report now because I haven't started on it yet and it's due tmr lol bye!! (◡‿◡✿) * ♡ ⋆ 。 ˚ ✩ *

r.i.p. donut r.i.p. me

This photo is old but newer than the last time I posted. This term is ending in 2 weeks and it's safe to say that this term felt like it passed by much much faster the first term (despite first term feeling like it passed by super quick too). I'm not sure if I like this quick pace. It scares me how fast time passes by especially when I spend everyday waiting for the next day. I think I need to enjoy my days more rather than waiting for them to end.

I'm getting really stressed thinking about finals even tho I just finished midterms literally 2 days ago. I told myself I'd have my shit together this term and even though my studying habits have slightly improved (I've been putting my phone away while doing hwk lately!!! and in class!!!!) they're still not much better than last term. My grades are a bit better though I think. Except for math. Math will be the death of me!!!! But I really need to make a study schedule for my finals and STICK TO IT!!! I'm also gonna study at the library often and try to find cute study spots.

I bought tickets to see Iggy Azalea on May 21, and it's the only thing I am looking forward to right now. There's also Lana Del Rey's concert on May 25, but I couldn't get tickets because they sold out within minutes. :((( I was really really hoping to see Lana (I've been dreaming of this for years!!!) but now people are selling tickets for $150+ and as a poor student who is barely working, that's a lot. Sigh. But I still have the Iggy concert which is great and I can't wait to see her!!

It's 2:30am and I should probably go to bed but tomorrow (or actually I should say today) I'm going to be see Grand Budapest Hotel with some friends so I'm really excited. Also, we're going to stop by VS because they're currently having a sale and my friends and I are obsessed with buying cute panties on sale (bc we're obviously too poor to afford them full price lol) so yeah!!

Time for bed yalllllll g'night bbs * ♡ ⋆ 。 ˚ ✩ * ♡ ⋆ 。 ˚ ✩ * ♡ ⋆ 。 ˚ ✩ *

museum of anthropology

On Tuesday last week I visited the Museum of Anthropology at UBC (mostly because my friend wanted me to take some photos of their exhibit on Aboriginal residential schools since I get free entrance into the museum as a UBC student, but I went exploring afterwards). That day I was done classes at 9:30am since I didn't have a chem lab that week and I was planning to go shopping afterwards so I didn't stay for long at the  museum. I think I'll return again though, there were so many interesting artifacts and exhibits there (it was overwhelming really) so if I have time another day, I will most likely go back. I mean, not only were there rooms and rows and rows of collections on display, but below were also shelves and shelves of displays that you could pull out and look at. It was kind of creepy but cool because I went just as it opened at 10am so it was eerily quiet and the section of the museum where I spent most of my time was dimly lit but at the same time it was nice and I liked it. I don't know why, but I just like being alone. I've found a quote that actually describes me well:

"I'm the type of person who enjoys being alone. I like to walk home alone with my music. I like to stay home alone Friday nights. I just like quiet and time to myself. But I don't like being alone for a long time. I don't like being alone long enough for the bad thoughts to take over. I guess what I'm saying is that I like being alone, but I hate being lonely."

Anyway I guess I'll start off with an ootd (ya you cant really see what I'm wearing but w/e use ur imagination) ଘ(੭ ᐡ ᵕ ᐡ)੭* ✩ ♡ ˚

tna hoodie, topshop shiny leggings, calvin klein parka, white converse, american apparel denim backpack

And here are some photos I took there (I edited them using VSCO Cam and I was feeling super Ta-ku!!! ꒰ ⁎ ᵛ ᵕ ᵛ ꒱)

this is just me being immature lol
