I think I've delayed this for long enough. It's been nearly a month and I still haven't posted about the end of my high school life!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhh
Okay on May 29 I GRADUATED!!
The feeling was so surreal. Walking across the stage felt like a dream. I don't know how else to describe it. The background noise and the sounds of the audience just mute in your ears and everything looks so slow and dreamy. The only person I heard was the principal when I approached him and shook his hand. He asked me if I was nervous and I said "very" and he told me to look at the camera and just smile hahaha. So basically I felt nervous and looked nervous at the same time. Great. And because I basically unconsciously muted all the background noise, I didn't even know what scholarship I got and suddenly these two ladies started coming towards me with it and watching the footage of me on the stage, I literally took a step back hahaha. But yeah. My grad class was apparently the largest one ever, with almost 500 people, so it took forever to get through everyone. I think it was more efficient and organized than the past years though, probably to try to get everyone across the stage as fast as possible. But yeah.
Then two and a half weeks passed VERY quickly and suddenly it was June 17 prom was here!! Prom was probably one of the best days. I don't care if you're one of those people who say things about how prom isn't even that important and think it's dumb. I really liked it. My friends Karman and Kimberly and I started out the day with getting our hair done, and then we headed to Murale for our makeup, and then we headed to our friend's house (where the limo was picking us up) to get changed. Then we got into the limo and went to Queen Elizabeth park to take photos with everyone. It was so nice to see everyone all dressed up and everything! Here's some pics from the park:

And then Priscilla and Karen went to another high school and we drifted, but their prom was on the same day so we met up with them at the park and it was really cool seeing them again ^_^ (they all agreed that I changed the most... which I gotta admit is true hahah)

I felt really pretty that day ^_^ normally it's hard for me to say this but yeah. And then afterwards we headed to the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel for the dinner! It was a buffet and here's a pic I took ahahah
The food was actually better than I expected it to be, so yay. I didn't get a pic of the desserts but basically there was like chocolate and strawberry mousse and little cakes and a chocolate fountain for fondue! We had a slideshow full of pictures that people submitted of themselves from grades 8-12 and then there was a dance. The DJ kind of sucked, he was this old guy, but yeah. After that, Karman and I cabbed back to her place to get ready for the after prom party, which was like a block and a half away from her house so yeah. The after party was pretty sick, but the cops shut it down
Ooh I forgot to post my prom nails
Yeah my fingers look gross and dry and my nails are short but whatever. Now that it's summer I'm gonna grow my nails out like I do every summer hahah. I just can never maintain it during the school year.
I also brought a disposable camera with me to prom but I didn't take very many pictures with it, maybe like 7? So I'm gonna upload those pictures onto this blog (depending on how they turned out... hahah) when I finish the roll.
And then yesterday we got yearbooks! I was one of the biggest transformations apparently -_- but I do agree hahah so I don't mind being on there. It's just that I despise my grade 12 photo. I also hate my grad photo ughhhhhhh. Every time I look at it, I just kind of cringe because I hate it so much. I really wish grad photos were towards the end of the year because to be honest I think I've changed a lot from the beginning of the school year when we took the pics to now. My appearance is always changing. Idk. I find it so weird when people, especially young people, look the same as they did the year before and stuff like that. I know this quote or whatever has made its way all over tumblr and twitter and etc, but it's probably one of the most relevant things to me:

But yeah hahahah. And reading the things people signed in my yearbook made me smile. Idk. It's just the thought that you may not see some of these people again for a while, and the fact that you've known them for so long and seen them everyday and now that has kind of come to an end.
Yesterday was also my course registration for UBC Science (DID I MENTION I GOT INTO UBC SCIENCE ON THIS BLOG YET??? I DONT THINK SO OMG. Well I made it!! Ahhhhhhhh) and trying to quickly remake worklists to compensate for full courses and stuff was probably the most stressful thing ever. I literally sat there for 2 hours dying as I tried to fix my worklist on a shitty slow school computer. But yeah in the end, I think my schedule is okay. I'll post it another time though because just looking at my timetable makes me remember about the nightmare that was course registration. Okay.
And yeah that's about it. Now that my summer break has started (well, kind of started, because I still have report card pickup on Thursday), I'm freeeeeeeeeee. This is my first summer in like 5 years where I'm not taking summer school, since all throughout high school I took either a prep or completion course. However my mom wants me to get a job this summer which I think is a good idea because I want to start making my own money, since my parents literally funded my entire grad (which was pretty expensive with all the dresses, shoes, hair, makeup, photos, limo, prom, etc etc). So yeah. I just don't know where to work and I have a feeling that most places already hired for the summer. But if I'm that desperate I'll try somewhere like Forever 21, because they are ALWAYS hiring. Hahaha WONDER WHY
But anyway that's it. For now, I'm just gonna relax and enjoy myself before uni. Bye for now y'allllll
