This week has been pretty boring, except for the math final which I did horribly in and talked about in a recent post. Sigh. But other than that, it has been basically just sitting at home not doing much. I went shopping and bought 5 pairs of sale undies from American Eagle which I already talked about and stuff. I also returned the American Apparel disco pants because they're just too shiny for my taste. I also finally got the June/July issue of NYLON and I have yet to read it. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow.
I painted my nails a yin yang design like I did last summer. My nails are actually starting to grow and I have not picked at them thus far and so they are actually long(er than usual) and I shaped them square-ish/squoval-ish with my Sephora glass nail file and yay. Glass nail files are so good, I'm not even kidding. Like, those cheap emery ones are shit compared to these. YOU HAVE TO CONVERT TO GLASS NAIL FILES. Once you go glass, you can't go back. Haha that kind of rhymed. Kind of. But yeah, they file so much faster and apparently they don't go dull so yay! I'm really happy that I finally painted them yin yang again and they will probably start chipping within a week which will make me start picking at them so next week I'll probably remove it and repaint it. I'm planning to do an ombré look with my Revlon nail polishes in Minted, Lilac Pastelle, and Electric (mint green, light puirply-pink, and yellow). I was planning to do that look this week actually, but I found out that I ran out of makeup sponges and so I couldn't do it, but now I bought some and so next week I'll probably do it. Hopefully it turns out cute. ^_^
I really want to watch Moonrise Kingdom because their trailer is so cute and ahh. I wanted to watch it ever since I saw Tavi's post about it. I'm gonna go with my friend Kimberly on Tuesday this week and I can't wait to watch it! Here's the trailer:
When I was volunteering for the Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival, it was pretty boring. The first day rained like crazy and we were inside a gymnasium doing kid's activities. There were finger painting, friendship bracelets, colouring, etc and there were 3 bouncy castles!!! AhhhHHh the childhood memories! I always loved bouncy castles. Hehe. I got to go inside this huge bouncy pirate ship with this inflatable climbing wall in it and basically I had to make sure kids were playing safely and I had to help kids get up and down the wall. There was a really adorable girl named Brooke or something like that and she was so cute! Ahh and there was this little asian girl with the HUGEST eyes ever and she was so tiny and cute but once she got up the climbing wall she was so scared to get down so we had to help her down and then she ran and never came back. Aw. Haha. But I made a friendship bracelet and I have it on right now! It's a really basic one, just 3 pastel-ish colours braided together with some clear beads. On the second day of volunteering, my friend Karman and I had to basically sit outside for like 4 and a half hours and watch a traffic barricade that was located near a performing stage and we had to move the barricade to let perfomers' cars in and stuff. We also got a walkie-talkie which was cool but kind of scary. It was so boring but thank god we got chairs and our team leaders delivered us food (I think they were 1-2 day old Subway sandwiches) and some soda and a bunch of chocolate. SMARTIES. I LOVE SMARTIES CHOCOLATE. I ate like 14 of those little boxes within the two days I volunteered and I felt like such a fatass but I can't help it. SMARTIES ARE FUCKING DELICIOUS. Anyway, here's a pic of Karman and I being ultra cool while volunteering:
