museum of anthropology

On Tuesday last week I visited the Museum of Anthropology at UBC (mostly because my friend wanted me to take some photos of their exhibit on Aboriginal residential schools since I get free entrance into the museum as a UBC student, but I went exploring afterwards). That day I was done classes at 9:30am since I didn't have a chem lab that week and I was planning to go shopping afterwards so I didn't stay for long at the  museum. I think I'll return again though, there were so many interesting artifacts and exhibits there (it was overwhelming really) so if I have time another day, I will most likely go back. I mean, not only were there rooms and rows and rows of collections on display, but below were also shelves and shelves of displays that you could pull out and look at. It was kind of creepy but cool because I went just as it opened at 10am so it was eerily quiet and the section of the museum where I spent most of my time was dimly lit but at the same time it was nice and I liked it. I don't know why, but I just like being alone. I've found a quote that actually describes me well:

"I'm the type of person who enjoys being alone. I like to walk home alone with my music. I like to stay home alone Friday nights. I just like quiet and time to myself. But I don't like being alone for a long time. I don't like being alone long enough for the bad thoughts to take over. I guess what I'm saying is that I like being alone, but I hate being lonely."
