I'm trying to think of where to begin because I want to go chronologically..
Okay so (based on the date the file says I took the picture) on December 27 I painted my nails sparkly and stuff, kind of like New Years nails I guess:
I used OPI's Rainbow Connection. It's a really nice glitter nail polish in my opinion. Like, it has little circular pieces and it also has larger hexagon shaped pieces. You can easily control how glittery you want your nails by applying more coats. I decided to just paint it on plain nails (without a colour underneath.. I did put on OPI's base coat first though). If you're the type of person who likes to wipe nail polish off the brush at the rim of the nail polish bottle, I suggest you don't do that too excessively with this nail polish, because you lose a lot of hexagon pieces like that, and you only get the little ones. But yeah. My nails look so short here and sorry for my horrible cuticles. My hands and cuticles and everything have been so dry this winter season. My nails are definitely much longer now because it's been over a week. I've been taking silica supplements now (I'm not sure if it's actually working or not.. hahah) but it claims to strengthen hair, nails, and connective tissue. I used to take biotin supplements but after my bottle ran out, I never bothered to buy another one because I didn't really see that much of a difference (but then again my biotin was only like 500 mcg or 1000 mcg.. can't remember anymore!).
Then I watched some good ol' nature documentaries with milk tea.
This is BBC Life narrated by David Attenborough. I would really love to watch the entire series and also the entire series of Planet Earth but I can't find any, I guess due to copyright and legal issues. My only option is to either borrow it from the library (at the library they lend out the DVDs of the series separate, since there's like 4 separate DVDs for the 10 episodes of BBC Life) or buy it. The issue here is that if I want to borrow it from the library, the waiting line for it is sO FUCKING LONG and I want to watch it all together!! And the issue about buying it is that the special edition DVD of both BBC Life and Planet Earth (both narrated by David Attenborough) costs $100!!! I'm poor you know. Hahah. But thinking about getting that entire series makes me so happy... 17 hours of nature documentaries AHHHHHHHhhhHHhhH *faints*. Hahaha. But I talked to my dad about it and HE'S ACTUALLY CONSIDERING GETTING ME THE DVD SET OMG. I'm shocked. But I don't want him to blow $100 on this for me. Maybe I'll pay for part of it. Hehe. But if I do get it, I will spend my spring break watching it while everyone's going to the Dominican. Sigh. Well, not everyone. But for S-Trip (sounds like strip I think that's the point) stands for Student Trip and basically anyone from my senior grade can pay and go to the trip during spring break together and this year they're going to the Dominican. I don't know how many other high schools are participating but basically the people going all go together and spend spring break together and apparently it's like so much fun and partying and wah. I'm sad that I didn't sign up to go, because you had to sign up last year. The cost is like a couple thousand though which I don't know if my parents would be willing to pay for it but it's too late now.
So on New Years Eve I didn't really do anything actually. Hahah it's so sad actually, but yeah. Last year I watched Fight Club over the New Year and this year I watched The Amazing Spider-Man even though I already watched it before many times. GOD DAMN ANDREW GARFIELD IS HOT THOUGH. Hahah. But to be honest Peter Parker is supposed to look like a loser nerd but he looked like a really hot skater... Okay anyway.
On New Years day I went to dim sum with my family and grandparents in the morning. There was a weird fish in the tank at the restaurant.
The food was really good though. I liked it. We ate stuff like that lettuce wrap with the vegetable stuff inside (which I've never eaten for breakfast before, only for dinner hahah) and yeah. We got fortune cookies at the end and mine said this:
I'm not quite sure what that means but all righty.
I also made up some New Year's Resolutions that I really hope to follow this year (but don't I say this every year.. haha)
I also made up some New Year's Resolutions that I really hope to follow this year (but don't I say this every year.. haha)
- be happier
- be more social
- eat/be healthier
- stop procastinating
- make my parents proud
And yeah! Hehe ^_^
Then yesterday I went shopping (in fact, I went shopping for like 4 days within a week) and watched a movie with my friend Karman.
Here's my outfit (P.S. my hair looks red here.. IT ISN'T ACTUALLY RED, it was the filter Valencia ahaha):
h&m tank top, lord & taylor cardigan, j brand jeans, dolce vita ankle boots, danier leather bag
We watched Les Miserables!
It was such a good film ahhhhhhhhhh. I felt like singing everything I said after watching it. Hahah. Sometimes I think the singing got a bit long, but other than that it was so beautiful. I loved it. I had already watched the 1998 version in French class prior to my winter break, but this one was definitely way better. Haha. I actually teared up during some parts. But I didn't cry. I don't cry watching films. Okay. Haha. But still, it was so so great. I don't even know how to describe it. The music was so beautiful too. Wow. Okay.
Now I will post some clothes and other shit I got over this winter break!
