daiso adventures

Yesterday my friend and I went to Richmond originally with the intent to get shaved ice at Aberdeen from Frappe Bliss (if you see pics it looks so so good) but we ended up not even getting it haha. But we did go to Daiso and I bought some goodies. Here's my ootd

Mad cause the lighting here was not swell!!! But oh well. (btw look I dyed my roots!! no more weird very high ombre looking hair!!)

I got some sushi rolling mats because I've always wanted to make sushi at home but I've never gotten around to actually buying some rolling mats so yay. I also got a few boxes of Pocky (I ate a green tea midi one while heading home lol and it was actually really really good) and pineapple juice. Plus I got some fuzzy socks and slippers because I love wearing them around the house. ꒰♡ᐡ ॢ◡ᐡ ॢ꒱ ᐝ ∗̥ ✩ ˚ ⑅

My favourite area of Daiso is probably their decorative flowers section. Look how cute it is there!!

I love flower shops and I love how it's arranged like a little flower shop of fake flowers hahaha

We went to Richmond Centre too and I hadn't been there for ages but wow the stores there are actually really really good!!! They have Aritzia, Zara, Sephora, MAC, J2, La Senza, F21, etc and Topshop and VS are opening soon!! Plus it's not overcrowded like Metrotown, so I'm def gonna go shopping there more now!

Oh yeah and we ran into this!! lol

OHOHOH a couple days ago I finally saw that they had one more copy of 'Bloom' by Beach House aka ONE OF MY FAVOURITE ALBUMS EVER!!!!!!!!!! available at HMV so I made my sister go get it for me

So now I'm super super super excited just to have this cd in my hands!!! It's literally one of my faves and I can listen to it forever and ever. It's so perfect because the entire length of the album is a little less than a hour (not including the 6 min of silence between Irene and Wherever You Go) which is the length of my bus ride to school every morning. My favourite song on this album is probably New Year.

And I finally drank that pineapple drink I bought from Daiso, but when I opened it and took a sip, I didn't really like it. Tbh idk why I bought it to begin with, considering I don't even like pineapples very much (except for on hawaiian pizza!! my fave). So I poured it into my mug, threw in some ice cubes and evaporated milk, and it ended up tasting so so good!! And me being the super curious and avid googler that I am found out that I essentially made a pineapple variant of morir soñando, a drink from Dom Rep that translates to "die dreaming" (pretty cool huh). Except for morir soñandos, they use fresh orange juice and it supposedly tastes like a creamsicle and now I want to try it.

On tuesday I went shopping by myself (as usual) because I got off school at 9:30am and yeah I was supposed to be studying for finals but did I?? Not really. I haven't been very productive for the past few days which sucks because I actually have a lot to study. In fact I have my calculus homework out in front of my right now but yeah I'll get back to that later.

So I went to Topshop and I bought 2 cropped tank tops. They were $10 each but I got them 2 for $16 and basically they're super simple and plain and basic and cute. I also went to Zara to return those flatform sandals I got a couple weeks ago (I don't like the height of them - I'm planning to buy a lower pair maybe from Topshop because I feel like that'd be a lot more wearable) and I saw this cute white ribbed crop top. I think it was around $18?? I can't remember exactly but it's really basic and I think it'd be really cute for the summer. I really need to stop buying so many crop tops especially since now I barely wear them since I've gotten so much fatter from uni. I guess I'm just a crop top hoarder???

Anyway I guess I'll get back to math now. Bye bbs stay cute!!!!!!!

Wore my AA scrunchie to my cousin's 9 year old bday party with the fam yesterday. I also thought my brows were pretty on point!!!

Here are some purchases I made this week (✿◠‿◠) clockwise:

1. white Talula (Aritzia) shorts- I bought these off of a girl on one of those local Facebook closet groups where you sell and buy new or lightly worn clothes etc. These were brand new with tags and they retail for $45 but I got them for $25! I thought they'd be super cute and comfy for the summer.
2. pink Hello Kitty phone case- another purchase from the closet group! I'm guessing you can get these from the night market for ~$10 but I got this for $5 and it's so adorable! I love the shade of pink too, it's like a really nice light pink that isn't too... purply??? idk how to describe it but yeah
3. fuzzy socks- I bought these from the Korean gift/stationary store at Crystal Mall called Everyday. I used to visit that store all the time a few years ago and the owners, these two middle aged Koreans who I believe are married, are so friendly! I'm sad that they probably don't recognize me anymore but recently I have regained my love for cute stationary so I will probably be back there more hehe
4. purple and blue pens- I bought them also from Everyday. I have it in pink and black as well and they're probably my favourite pens at the moment. My old faves used to be these skinny Korean pens that I believe are called "Slimmer" (that's what it said on the pens themselves) and I used them for years and I could only find them at Everyday but unfortunately they stopped restocking on them and upon asking the owners, I was told that the pens were no longer made. :((( I loved how skinny the lines were when you write/draw with them. Fortunately, I stumbled upon these which aren't as thin but I'm satisfied with them

This was kind of a lame post but I feel like I need to post more so yeah. Does anyone even read this blog??? Whatever bye!! ✧ * ｡ ⋆

shopping again

Yesterday I went for a quick shopping trip with my friend to pick up some stuff I bought from one of those closet Facebook groups where you buy and sell clothes and etc. I bought a pink Hello Kitty case for $5 and a pair of white Talula shorts for $25 (new with tags, originally $45) so yay. I would post pics but it's nighttime and the lighting is not cute. So that'll have to wait for tomorrow! But for now here's yesterday's ootd
